Lesson Plan

REFLECTION STATEMENT

The lesson plan that I choose was done in a preschool classroom, while I was interning at Powers Elementary in Amherst. The classroom that I was in consisted of regular ed students and also special ed students. The lesson plan was challenging for some of the students, but for others it was a piece of cake. The students enjoyed playing the the ipads and watch the teacher write the letters on the smartboard.

I enjoyed being able to help out during this experience, because I was able to help the students learn how to write their letters the correct way. I also enjoyed watching the student’s faces light up when they wrote the letter correctly they were very proud of themselves and wanted to move on to the next letter to learn. The students in the class are always eager to learn and love being able to interact with technology.

This experience has showed me how much patience you need to be able to work with younger children. I realized that I have the patience that it takes to be able to teach the younger ones. I enjoyed being around all of the little kids and helping them with whatever they needed done.
